Accuracy is central to a world-clock site. We welcome specific reports about local time, UTC offsets, DST changes, coordinates, solar values, internal links, or educational claims.
How to report an error
Email contact@theglobalclock.com or use the contact page. Please include:
- The exact page URL.
- What the page displayed and what you expected.
- The date and approximate time of the observation.
- Your browser, operating system, and device time zone for live-clock issues.
- A link to an authoritative source, if available.
How reports are assessed
We first reproduce the issue and determine whether it comes from page content, city data, calculation logic, the visitor's device clock, or the browser's time-zone database. Civil-time disputes are checked against IANA data and relevant primary government information. Solar discrepancies are assessed within the limitations described in our methodology.
Correction priority
- Urgent: materially wrong current time, offset, DST status, or broken critical functionality.
- High: incorrect city identity, source attribution, or factual guidance likely to mislead decisions.
- Routine: wording, formatting, minor coordinate precision, and non-critical link issues.
What happens after confirmation
Confirmed errors are corrected as promptly as practical. Material editorial changes should update the displayed review date and, where readers could otherwise misunderstand the history, include a correction note. Silent fixes are appropriate for typography, grammar, layout, and other changes that do not alter meaning.
What we cannot guarantee
Government time-zone rules can change at short notice, and browser vendors distribute IANA updates on their own schedules. When the site logic is correct but a visitor's environment is outdated, we may document the limitation instead of changing the calculation to a hard-coded exception.
