Calendar days and business days
Calendar days include every date on the calendar. Business days in this calculator mean Monday through Friday and exclude weekends. Public holidays are not removed because holidays differ by country, region, employer and year.
How month-end calculations work
Adding one month to a date near the end of a month can produce a day that does not exist. This calculator uses a common clamped approach: one month after January 31 becomes the final valid day of February. Leap years are handled automatically by the Gregorian calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Does the date difference include the final day?
Not by default. Select “Include the end date” when both boundary dates should count, such as for an inclusive booking or event period.
Are public holidays excluded from business days?
No. Only Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. Holiday calendars vary around the world, so the result clearly reports this limitation.
Are my dates uploaded or stored?
No. Every calculation runs locally in your browser and the dates are not sent to a server.
